Ukrainian strikes disrupt Russian war supplies to Crimea
Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian-occupied Crimea's military facilities caused disruption in the flow of war supplies. The strikes targeted ammunition depots in the center of the peninsula, finding a temporary weakness in Russian air defense
Major explosions hit military facilities in the Krasnohvardiysk district and destroyed a significant ammunition depot on one of Crimea's main airfields. Another strike on Oktiabrske's oil depot resulted in massive fires and forced the evacuation of residents within a five-kilometer radius, leading to a halt in railroad movement.
In response to the attacks, Russian troops concentrated their air defense in certain areas, leaving other crucial locations vulnerable. The Crimean authorities closed the Kerch Bridge, a crucial supply route, to ensure the safety of military supplies.
This disruption in the supply lines created significant problems for the Russian forces in the Zaporizhzhia region, leading to shortages in ammo supplies. As a result, Russian operations in various areas became more dangerous and less supported by artillery.
