So long as Trump's scythe finds Putin's stone
Negotiations about Ukraine without Ukraine begin, at least in the form of hints from unnamed "sources close to Trump" for Western media
About the "freeze" of the 800-mile front line, which is to be secured by some "European forces," a pause in Ukraine's NATO membership, in exchange for providing it with defense supplies.
At the same time, comments are being made about the redistribution of participation in the arms market, the need for greater involvement of European countries in supporting security on the continent, and the idea that Ukraine should focus "on peace, not the restoration of territories."
So far, Putin is responding to these provocations like a Soviet warrant officer: "We need mir. Preferably, all of it."
(Mir in Russian means both "peace" and "the world" - ed.)
The faster the scythe in the hands of Trump’s current entourage, which is seeking opportunities for "compromise," meets the stone of Russian stubbornness and misunderstanding of the realities, the sooner Trump and his team will look for a "Plan B."
And Ukraine — all of Ukraine, not just President Zelenskyy's administration — must be fully prepared for it.
The countdown has begun.
