Ukrainian experts repel more than 1,300 Russian cyberattacks since February 24
The Ukrainian IT army faced more than 1,300 attacks since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Despite the attacks specialists managed to build a digital defense system.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on Ukraine’s digital defense system at the G20 summit.
The President shared with the G20 representatives the experience of resisting enemy cyberattacks in the absence of communication means, Internet and electricity.
Zelenskyy said that since February 24, the newly created IT army of Ukraine has repelled more than 1,300 cyberattacks. He also emphasized that in the first week of the invasion, Russian hackers "destroyed the key data center of our country", so the solution was to partially transfer the information to "cloud" storages.
Now Ukraine has created a security system for state registers which ensures the stability of banks and coordination of social payments to war victims.
The President also introduced the Diya app that allows people to obtain government services online. Currently, users can obtain more than 100 services without visiting government institutions in person.
"If your country or your allies and partners do not yet have such a system and such digital security, we will be happy to help you build them!" emphasized Zelenskyy.
