Ukrainian blogger pours artificial blood in Cannes, security guards rudely escort her out
Ilona Chernobai, a blogger from Kramatorsk wearing a yellow and blue dress, has staged a bloody performance on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival to remind the world of the war in Ukraine
The Ukrainian woman wrote about this on Instagram.
Ukrainian blogger and fitness trainer Ilona Chernobai appeared at the Cannes Film Festival. For her appearance on the red carpet, she chose a dress in the colors of the Ukrainian flag and staged a performance by pouring red paint on herself.
Chernobai appeared on the red carpet in a floor-length ball gown. On the stairs, she pulled a capsule of red paint from her neckline, raised it above her head, and burst it open, smiling at the photographers.
Immediately afterward, the security guards of the star festival roughly pulled a Ukrainian woman, completely covered in blood, off the carpet.
“I used my chance and with this act I reminded people of what is happening in Ukraine!” Chernobai said.
She noted that she was glad that her act was spread all over the world media.
“The action was in support of the occupied territories and our people who live there! All the people of Ukraine. And right now, bloggers and producers of the occupiers are walking along the Cannes path, presenting their films at the festival! This all concerns me personally! I am with Ukraine in my heart. I did what I had to do,” the blogger explained.
She admitted that she was banned from the festival and many other events. However, she does not regret her actions and is proud of herself.
One of the most prestigious film festivals is taking place in France.
