"It's hell": Ukrainian serviceman comments on difficult situation near Bakhmut
Andriy Babichev, a soldier of the 93rd Kholodnyi Yar Brigade, said that Russia had advanced to the outskirts of Bohdanivka in the Bakhmut sector
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The last three days have been hellish in the Bakhmut sector, it hasn't been like this for a long time. Artillery cannonade from both sides is heard around the clock. The temperature is below zero, the mud is frozen, the weather is clear, and this is conducive to good work of artillery and UAVs. Russian enemy has made a strong advance and is pressing us near Bohdanivka, which is located south of Bakhmut and Khromove. The enemy has almost reached the outskirts of Bohdanivka, and very fierce fighting is taking place there. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are digging up Russian occupiers' manpower, but the Russians are constantly adding soldiers. I don't know how many shells are needed to destroy them all," Babichev said.
According to a serviceman of the 93rd Kholodnyi Yar Brigade, infantry are working on both sides, and the invaders are outnumbered.
"The enemy is also using aviation and lancers. The artillery is working hard, both on our side and on the enemy's side, no one wants to retreat. In this area, we are already in a defensive position. Sometimes a certain position can change hands several times a day. Last week we had success near Klishchiyivka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces recaptured the positions where the enemy had advanced, and the defenses there are strong," said Babichev.
- Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier Yevhen Ievlev noted that the Russia has concentrated manpower not only near Horlivka or Avdiivka, but have stretched it along the entire eastern frontline.
