Ukrainian Armed Forces counterattack near Bakhmut, it may relieve pressure on city - British intelligence

The agency's analysts said that over recent days, Ukrainian forces have managed to conduct a local enemy counterattack to the west of Bakhmut. This is likely to relieve pressure on the H-32 highway, which is an important supply route.

"There is a realistic possibility that the Russian assault on the town is losing the limited momentum it had obtained, partially because some Russian MoD units have been reallocated to other sectors," the British Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

The intelligence agency noted that fighting around the town center continues and that Ukrainian defense forces in the region remain at risk from envelopment from the north and south.
