Ukrainian air defense destroys 6 Kalibrs, 2 Iskanders in Odesa at night
Serhiy Bratchuk, head of the Public Council at the Odesa Regional Military Administration, says that invading Russian forces attacked the city from different directions at night
He said this on Espreso TV.
“Odesa has survived, and Odesa has something to shoot down enemy missiles. Today, the air defense was 100% effective. Six Kalibr and two Iskander missiles were destroyed. As a result of the night shelling of Odesa, there are wounded people, and they are now being treated. Unfortunately, one person was killed while performing a combat mission,” noted Bratchuk.
According to the head of the Public Council at the Odesa Regional Military Administration, enemy forces attacked Odesa from ground-based tactical complexes and from the sea.
“The Russian forces fired at Odesa from different directions. At night, an enemy submarine with 4 Kalibrs on board came in, and then it made a march to the Black Sea. It took up combat positions and fired 6 Kalibr missiles. It is difficult to shoot down Iskanders and Kalibrs. Two missiles were shot down over the city, and 6 missiles were destroyed in the sea before they reached Odesa,” emphasized Bratchuk.
