Ukraine’s Ombudsman comments on UN report on human rights violations "on both sides"
Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, commented on the new reports of the UN Monitoring Mission, in particular on human rights violations by Russia and Ukraine

Dmytro Lubinets noted that the mission's findings confirmed that the Russian Federation is committing massive crimes in Ukraine, violating human rights and humanitarian law.
However, allegations were made that Ukraine was violating the rights of prisoners of war. In particular, the Ombudsman emphasized that this issue was never on the agenda at meetings with the Head of Mission, Matilda Bogner, and the UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine, Denise Brown.
"In addition, I would like to hear the indisputable facts and arguments on which the the findings of the Mission regarding probable violations by the Ukrainian side," the Commissioner emphasized and added: "It is Russia that criminally invaded our land, kills and kidnaps Ukrainian citizens and still blocks access to our prisoners of war. The scale of inhuman treatment and torture is hidden."

Earlier, the Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights claimed that there was evidence of other executions of Ukrainian military prisoners, besides Oleksandr Matsievskyi.
