Ukraine's Armed Forces liberate 60 settlements in Kherson region, police help make these areas safe - Zelenskyy
Over 60 cities and villages in the Kherson region have been liberated from the occupying Russian forces. The police and specialists have defused almost 2,000 explosive devices.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in his evening address.
“As of this evening, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have established control in more than 60 settlements in the Kherson region. The police have started stabilization measures. Stabilization measures are also ongoing in Kherson itself,” Zelenskyy said.
The president reports that in the de-occupied territories, explosives technicians have already defused more than 2,000 explosive devices: mines, streamers, and ammunition.
According to the president, 10 groups of bomb technicians, the police and various units of the Defense Forces are working in Kherson itself.
“It is very important now to tell all Kherson residents to be careful and not try to independently check any buildings and objects left by the occupying Russian forces. Please, if you have a connection with the locals, be sure to convey this to them,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Zelenskyy also informs that on November 12, one of the sappers was injured during demining of the administrative building in Kherson.
“Dear citizens of Kherson, be careful and inform the police or rescuers about any suspicious objects you see,” the president appealed.
