Ukraine develops Fake News Calculator: how it works
Ukraine has created an innovative tool called the Fake News Calculator, allowing users to quickly find out whether a news story is true or not
Ukraine's Ministry of Culture reported the information.
The Fake News Calculator was created by the Association for Innovative and Digital Education and Detector Media, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the National Democratic Institute.
The innovative simulator was created for users who want to learn how to quickly and accurately distinguish between real and fake news. It is free of charge and requires no registration.
In order to use the simulator, you need to go to the website and click the Start button. After that, you need to answer 5 questions, and the system will automatically determine whether the news is true or fake.
"We have created this tool not only to be informative but also educational, as it shows Ukrainians what criteria a true news story has and what signs are inherent in fake news. Thus, after some time of using this portal, users will be able to easily and accurately distinguish truth from fake news on their own," explained Maria Bohuslav, Executive Director of the Association for Innovative and Digital Education.
- The Center for Countering Disinformation has published a compilation of anti-Ukrainian fakes and manipulations launched on June 6.
