Ukraine needs heavy weapons to push Russians out of its territory - Zgurets

He expressed this opinion on the air of the Espreso TV channel.

"We have direct contact between Zaluzhny and Mark Milli. When it comes to weapons, they conduct preliminary consultations. That is, the US informs us about what we need today to conduct hostilities. We can draw conclusions from what Zaluzhny has been saying lately  , that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have a huge need for artillery. Since the enemy still maintains a quantitative advantage in artillery systems," Zgurets explained.

The analyst emphasized that for a successful counteroffensive, Ukraine needs powerful armored vehicles.

"We also really need armored vehicles. After all, if with the help of HIMARS we cut off all the logistics routes of the occupiers, then we will need to push them out of our territory. For this, we need heavy weapons. In particular, powerful armored vehicles. The number of tanks we received  is not yet enough for active counter-offensive actions. Therefore, we expect that we will be able to receive such equipment in the lend-lease format," he added.
