Seems like political exile: Zgurets on Zaluzhnyi's appointment as ambassador to UK
Defense Express CEO and military expert Serhiy Zgurets believes that the decision to appoint Zaluzhnyi as ambassador to the UK is not rational
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"Perhaps this decision is optimal for the president, given his domestic political preferences and plans. But as for Zaluzhnyi's experience, he would be helpful in strengthening the defense of the country in cooperation with our military. Or he could work in NATO structures to ensure cooperation along the Ramstein line. It would be more rational if his experience and authority were directly related to military affairs. We will see how Zaluzhnyi will comment on this," Zgurets said.
According to the military expert, the decision to appoint Zaluzhnyi as ambassador to the UK is not rational.
"Because despite the great importance of the UK as a partner, sending a general there still looks like a political exile from the Ukrainian domestic and military-political space," Zgurets emphasized.
