Trenches won’t help Russian army: Oleksiy Danilov says Ukraine is ready to fight for Crimea
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov assured that Ukraine is ready to fight for the occupied Crimea
Danilov said this in a comment to Krym.Realii media project.
He claims Ukraine will not ask anyone for permission to fight for Crimea. The trenches dug by Russian forces north of the peninsula will not help the Russian army.
"I can say: they will not help them. Crimea will surely be returned in the way our military and political leadership will decide. If we need to fight for Crimea, we will fight for it and not ask anyone. This is our land, and it must be returned home," Danilov said.
He added that Russian citizens who moved to Crimea after the occupation "easily came and will easily leave" the peninsula.
"This is our land. They have to live by our laws. If they occupied the premises where our citizens lived, why should they not vacate it? Stolen never brings happiness. Do not steal," - Danilov advised.
