Ukraine Railways, Ukrzaliznytsia, launched a charity project called "Ticket to Victory": selling tickets for the first three routes from Kyiv to five cities - including newly deoccupied Kherson, as well as Mariupol, Donetsk, Luhansk and Simferopol
This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia
In honor of the liberation of Kherson and with the dream of Simferopol, Ukrzaliznytsia launched the sale of tickets for the first trains to de-occupied Ukrainian cities. We are talking about the charity project "Ticket to Victory", which it started together with the UNITED24 platform. Already today, anyone who wishes can issue tickets for the first three trains from Kyiv to five cities: de-occupied Kherson, as well as Mariupol, Donetsk, Luhansk and Simferopol.
As Ukrzaliznytsia emphasizes, the ticket can be purchased and kept as a symbol of faith in the Armed Forces and the liberation of Ukraine from the occupiers, and it can be used immediately after deoccupation. As soon as traffic is restored, railway officials will send a message with the date and location.
"It is very gratifying to launch this project, knowing that it will be possible to use Kyiv-Kherson tickets in the near future! - the company says. - The routes will be operated by the legendary "Train to Victory", whose painted wagons are dedicated to the feats of people in the temporarily occupied territories."
All tickets to the de-occupied cities will be donated. Funds from the sale of tickets through the UNITED24 platform will be used for the purchase of last-mile transport — cars that will help connect cities and towns in the de-occupied territories with the nearest railway junctions.
