They are looking for guerrilla fighters: Russians announce several objects and residential buildings in Melitopol are mined
On March 29, Russian invaders announced that a number of objects in Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, had been mined as an excuse for checking people
The mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov informs about this.
"Today they announced that several objects and residential buildings had been mined, inventing a story about "anonymous calls". Apparently, they forgot that it is impossible to call anonymously in the occupied city since all the numbers are tied to passports," says the mayor.
In this way, raiders can "legally" inspect premises and check people.
It is reported that Russians themselves stated the information was false.
"We don’t know what scenario they’ll follow next time - maybe they will state the info was false again, maybe they will "discover explosives" that they planted themselves, or maybe they will really blow something up, adding to the endless list of victims of peaceful Melitopol citizens," Fedorov added.
The mayor calls on the residents to leave the temporarily occupied territory to the controlled Ukraine or to the European Union countries as soon as possible.
