There are no prerequisites for parliamentary elections currently, war must end first - MP Kniazhytskyi
Mykola Kniazhytskyi, Member of the Ukrainian Parliament, believes that the main thing for Ukraine now is to win, and only then elections can be discussed
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"I do not see any prerequisites for parliamentary elections, the war must end first. Yesterday, on April 26, the international think tank ISW (Institute for the Study of War) said that US intelligence and officials predict that Putin will not agree to any peace process even after a successful Ukrainian counteroffensive and will continue this war. Media also write that Russia has enough resources for at least a year to continue the war. Obviously, I, like most Ukrainians, hope for some kind of "black swan" to get to this scoundrel. But as long as Putin is around, there is no reason to think that he will end the war. If he does not end this military aggression, I have no idea how to hold elections. Moreover, holding elections during martial law is prohibited by law," the MP said.
Mykola Kniazhytskyi emphasized that the main thing for Ukraine now is to win, and only then can elections be discussed.
