The Russian military forcibly relocated to the Russian Federation more than 500 thousand Ukrainians - Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN
The invaders are resettling Ukrainians from the temporarily occupied territories to Russia. The invaders have already taken more than 500 thousand citizens out of Ukraine
This was announced at a meeting of the UN Security Council by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Sergiy Kyslytsya.
"Filtration camps are an integral element of such a movement", he said.
According to him, more than 500,000 Ukrainians have been resettled to the territory of the Russian Federation, including 121,000 children.
Kyslytsya noted that at least 20,000 Ukrainians are being held in filtration camps "on the Mangush-Nikolske-Yalta line and about 5-7,000 in Bezimenny, Donetsk region".
Ukrainians are sent to the depressed regions of the Russian Federation, in particular to the northern regions and to Sakhalin Island, the permanent representative emphasized. At the same time, they are issued documents prohibiting them from leaving the Russian regions for two years.
Kyslytsa added that such actions of Russian invaders can be qualified as kidnapping and require a decisive response from the international community, primarily from the relevant UN structures.
"Each time it seems that we are already accustomed to the shameful methods of the Russian war. But every fresh news from Mariupol and dozens of other hot spots proves that the Russians are capable of reaching new heights", he said.
