Defense forces down 61 Shahed drones, 42 more are lost

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On the night of January 5 (starting from 7:00 PM on January 4), Russian forces launched 103 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various decoy drones from the directions of Bryansk, Millerovo, and Oryol in Russia.
The attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 9:00 AM, 61 Shahed and other drones were confirmed destroyed in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, and Khmelnytskyi regions. No hits were reported.
Another 42 Russian decoy drones were lost.
- On the morning of January 4, the occupying Russian army attacked Antonivka in the Kherson region using drones, injuring four people. Russian troops also dropped explosives from UAVs on a resident of Kindiika.
