Over the past day, the Ukrainian army eliminated another 1,730 Russian troops. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 26 Russian armored vehicles and 25 artillery systems

Russia's total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to January 5, 2025, are approximately:

- armored fighting vehicles - 20,119 (+26),
- artillery systems - 21,603 (+25),
- MLRS - 1,257 (+0),
- air defense systems - 1,032 (+0),
- aircraft - 369 (+0),
- helicopters - 331 (+0),
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 21,447 (+91),
- cruise missiles - 3,006 (+0),
- ships/boats - 28 (+0),
- submarines - 1 (+0),
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 32,940 (+97),
- special equipment - 3,677 (+2).
The data is being updated.
- Ukrainian FPV air-defense drones are being upgraded for greater range and effectiveness, enabling high-altitude strikes and expanded operations against Russian UAVs.
