Stripping men, raping women, doing all things imaginable: military commander tells about Russian crimes in Kherson
The people of Kherson tell horrible stories of Russian troops behaving like kings and doing anything that comes to their minds. They would search and undress men, intimidate women and rape them
Vitaliy Bakumenko, Espreso TV’s war correspondent, shared the stories.
"If Kherson residents were afraid that Russian soldiers might return, they would not tell the cameras about the crimes committed by the occupiers. You can approach any Kherson resident and ask how they are doing and just ask how Russian troops behaved here. They will definitely tell you everything they saw," he said.
According to the war correspondent, if people were afraid or thought that Russian troops would come back to Kherson, they would not share such stories.
"If a person gives a comment, Russians can record it, and then when they come, we know what they do to people. Kherson residents tell really horrible things. They say that Russian soldiers behaved like kings - they did whatever they wanted. They humiliated men, undressed them, inspected their tattoos. They threatened women and it ended badly," he said.
When asked by the host if he was referring to rape, Bakumenko comfirmed.
"I think the police are working and collecting all these testimonies. I hope that there will be some substantive statistics on this matter," the correspondent concluded.
