Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said this in an interview with La Vanguardia.
She noted that the 2A4 series Leopards are currently being repaired. They were stored in Zaragoza in deplorable conditions.
“The overhaul will be completed soon. This will allow them to be included in the battalion along with tanks donated by other countries,” Robles emphasized.
She added that training for tank crews has also already begun.
“At the same time, we have already begun training the crews of these Leopards and the teams that will be engaged in their maintenance,” the Spanish Defense Minister said.
