Сonflict’s frontier is approaching NATO countries
Oleksandr Musienko, director of the Center for Military Legal Studies, believes that the path of Russian confrontation with the West is increasing.
He said this on Espreso TV channel.
"After the meeting, Putin and Lukashenko spoke little about the military component, but they said the key thing. Russia will provide Belarus with planes. These planes are planned to be used with special ammunition. And this is a hint that Belarus plans to deploy Russian tactical nuclear weapons. Russia is determined to continue escalation," Musienko explained.
According to him, the leadership of the Russian Federation is trying to transfer the level of escalation and threats of aggression to NATO countries as well.
"The edge of conflict is closer than ever to NATO countries. And it goes to the worst conditions of the Cold War of 80 years when Soviet nuclear weapons were located in East Germany, American ones in the West. Accordingly, Putin is on the path of escalation and does not stop. The path of confrontation with the West will only increase," Musienko added.
