Shoigu orders to withdraw Russian troops from Kherson, retreat to Dnipro's left bank
Russia's Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu says that the Russian troops are withdrawing to the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region
Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and the commander of the occupying Russian forces, Sergey Surovikin, agreed at a meeting that the Russian troops would withdraw to the left bank of the Dnipro River, where they would build a "line of defense", Russian state media reports.
“The decision on defense on the left bank of the Dnipro River is not easy, but at the same time, we will preserve the lives of our soldiers and the combat capability of the troops. The maneuver will be carried out in the near future. The military will occupy prepared defensive lines on the left bank of the Dnipro River,” Surovikin explained Russia’s 'goodwill gesture'.
