Russians dismantle plant of well-known Ukrainian food manufacturer – Kherson Regional Council
Kherson Regional Council Deputy Serhiy Khlan reports that Russians were unable to start the stolen production lines of the Chumak plant
He said this on Espreso TV.
"The pressure is increasing in the occupied Kherson region. Russian occupiers continue to dismantle the equipment of the Chumak plant. They tried to start it, but handed it over to an unknown Crimean company. This company tried to start the plant, but they failed without appropriate software," Khlan emphasized.
According to him, Russians steal everything they don’t know how to manage in the occupied Kherson region.
"Agrarian enterprises are also nationalized by the occupiers and redistributed among those who have re-registered under Russian legislation," Khlan added.
For reference, Chumak is a Swedish-Ukrainian food processing company and had its headquarters in Kakhovka, which is now temporarily occupied. The company is one of Ukraine's best-known producers of ketchup, sauces, canned vegetables, pasta and sunflower oil.
