Russian troops execute two Ukrainian POWs in Donetsk region
Russian forces near Selydove in the Donetsk region captured two Ukrainian soldiers and shot them at close range with machine guns

On October 18, 2024, at 14:38, Russian forces captured the two Ukrainian servicemen in the Pokrovsk district. The soldiers were unarmed and were laid face down on the ground in a forested area near Selydove. While holding them down, the invaders shot them with automatic weapons.
The prosecutor's office has opened a pre-trial investigation for violating the laws of war and premeditated murder under Ukrainian law. The prosecutor's office stated that killing prisoners of war is a grave violation of the Geneva Conventions and is classified as a serious international crime.
On September 3, Russian invaders shot three Ukrainian soldiers who had surrendered in the Toretsk sector at close range.
