Russia is preparing program of mass settlement of occupied Zaporizhzhia region

The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, announced this.

According to the Russians, the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region should become Russia's second pilot project to change the ethnic composition of the population after the Far East. 

The occupation authorities are threatening Ukrainians who do not want to receive Russian passports with deportation, Fedorov emphasized. Instead, Russia is already preparing applications to bring Russians, Belarusians, and Kazakhs to the temporarily occupied territories.

"The enemy wants to get two "bones in the throat" at once, which it is unable to cope with for almost two years of occupation: the resistance of Ukrainians - to evict "undesirables" and make room for "their own"; personnel hunger - to settle doctors, educators, engineers, security forces, etc. from Russia's hinterland in the stolen housing," explained the head of Melitopol.

Melitopol residents are already seeing an increase in population, says Fedorov. According to him, the invaders have already turned the city into a garbage dump.
