Russian troops may change their missile strike tactics - ISW
According to analysts, Russian troops may change the tactics of missile strikes by focusing on Ukrainian military targets
This was reported by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
The total number of Russian missile strikes is decreasing, which indicates a decrease in the stocks of high-precision missiles.
Experts noted that Vadym Skibitskyi, Ukrainian Main Military Intelligence Directorate (GUR) Spokesperson, spoke about the possible reorientation of Russian strikes to focus on Ukrainian military facilities and force concentrations while continuing to strike Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
Reportedly, Russia currently has only 15% of its stockpile of high-precision weapons that existed before the full-scale invasion, and less than 10% of its total stockpile of Kalibr, X-101, and X-555 cruise missiles.
Skibitskyi stated that Russian forces cannot conduct missile attacks more than twice a month due to the growing need to conserve missiles, in contrast with how Russian forces conducted large air attacks at a higher frequency of about once a week in October 2022.
ISW analysts have also previously estimated that Russia's missile arsenal is depleting, which could limit the frequency and intensity of attacks.
The Institute for the Study of War also writes that the financier of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, denied the Kremlin's claims that Russia is fighting NATO in Ukraine and questioned the existence of "Nazis" in Ukraine, which the Russian authorities constantly talk about.
