Russian forces use their units as bait near Bakhmut - 26th Artillery Brigade spokesman
Oleh Kalashnikov, spokesman for Ukraine's 26th Artillery Brigade, says that Russia is not sparing its units in the Bakhmut sector
He said this on Espreso TV.
"In the Bakhmut sector, Russia is not sparing its personnel. There are cases when the enemy is practicing on their own positions. This happens when we enter a firing line held by the enemy, and the invaders can inflict artillery damage on both their own and Ukrainian defenders. We also observed the Russian troops using their soldiers as bait. That is, they were luring our forces to themselves. After our guys entered the Russian positions, the enemy started using artillery. That is, the Russians deliberately destroyed their soldiers to strike at the Ukrainian Armed Forces," Kalashnikov explained.
The spokesperson for the 26th Artillery Brigade named after Lieutenant General Roman Dashkevych added that the Russian forces are trying to attack Ukrainian positions on the northern flank and push back the units of the Ukrainian forces near Klishchiivka.
"Heavy fighting continues. The Russian forces are using artillery and aviation. The weather conditions dictate the tactics of the intensity of the fighting near Bakhmut," emphasized Kalashnikov.
