Russian forces strike Donetsk region 24 times in one day. Critical infrastructure is damaged, two people are killed
On December 23, Russian soldiers killed two civilians in the Donetsk region, 27 civilian objects came under fire
The National Police of Ukraine reported that 24 strikes were recorded in the Donetsk region on December 23.
13 settlements were shelled with S-300, Grad and Uragan MLRS, artillery, tanks and mortars.
The Russian forces fired at Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Lyman, Kramatorsk, Chasiv Yar, Kurakhove, Toretsk, Velyka Novosilka, Tonenke, Lastochkyne, Pereizne, Yelizavetivka, Petrivka.
"27 civilian objects were destroyed and damaged. These are 19 residential buildings, a school, garages and a car," the police informed.
In Lyman, 5 private houses were damaged after being hit by Hurricane missile systems.
The artillery attack in Kurakhove damaged critical infrastructure and housing; there were dead and injured.
Russian forces struck Kramatorsk twice with S-300 missile systems: a school, private and multi-story buildings were hit.
There are wounded people by Russian artillery strikes in Chasiv Yar and Yelizavetivka.
Earlier, the head of the Donetsk Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko said that two civilians were killed by Russian attacks in Kurakhove. Five more people were injured. These are residents of Bakhmut, Lyman, Yelizavetivka and Kurakhove.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 1281 people have been killed and 2785 wounded by the Russian forces.
Pavlo Kyrylenko emphasizes that it is impossible to establish the exact number of victims in Mariupol and Volnovakha, but every war criminal will be punished.

In the report of the Ukrainian General Staff, it was informed that on December 23 the Russian forces shelled 25 settlements in the Bakhmut direction. In total, Russian soldiers launched 3 missile and 10 air strikes, particularly on civilian infrastructure of the Donetsk region.
