AFU hit 2 Russian control points and repel Russian attacks near 10 settlements

Ukrainian army repelled enemy attacks near 10 settlements, hit 2 control points and 2 Russian ammunition depots.

On December 23, the defense forces repelled Russian attacks in one settlement of the Luhansk region and nine in the Donetsk region.

Ukrainian aviation over the last day carried out 13 strikes on areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment and hit the positions of the Russian anti-aircraft missile system. 

The soldiers also destroyed 9 Russian UAVs of various types.

Defenders from missile troops and artillery hit 2 control points, 2 ammunition depots and 11 areas of concentration of the Russian forces.

On December 22, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Zaporizhzhia destroyed 2 artillery systems with ammunition. More than 70 Russian soldiers were injured. 

Over the past day, the Russian forces launched 3 missiles and 10 air strikes on Ukraine and carried out 62 MLRS attacks.

On December 23, the Russian forces launched 3 missiles and 10 air strikes, including on civilian infrastructure in the Donetsk region. 

Also, 62 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems damaged the civilian infrastructure of Kherson. There are victims among local residents.

Russian troops continue to suffer losses

Hospitals in the Luhansk region continue to be turned into military ones by a significant number of injured Russian soldiers.

On December 19, about 100 injured Russian soldiers were brought to the surgery of the Starobilsk district hospital.

Situation by direction:

On the border with Belarus, experts found no signs of the Russian offensive groups' formation. 

On the northern Ukrainian-Russian border, the Russian forces fired mortars in one settlement of the Sumy region. 

Ten settlements of the Kharkiv region were under mortar and artillery fire.

In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian forces fired from tanks, artillery and mortars in four settlements of the Kharkiv region and three of the Luhansk region.

In the Lyman direction, five settlements in the Luhansk region came under fire.

In the Bakhmut direction of the Donetsk region, the Russian forces fired tanks, mortars, barrel and missile artillery at the areas of 25 settlements. Among them are ten settlements in the Donetsk region. 

In the Avdiivka direction, attacks were recorded in ten settlements of the Donetsk region. The enemy also launched an airstrike near Avdiivka.

In the Vuhledar direction of the Donetsk region, three settlements were shelled with artillery.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, more than 50 towns and villages were hit by missile and barrel artillery. Among them are four settlements of the Zaporizhzhia region and six of the Kherson region.

• The General Staff informed that in Belarus, military commissariats check the assigned staff, where special attention is paid to senior officers in the reserve.
