Belarus military commissariats checking enlisted personnel; AFU repel Russian attacks near 19 settlements

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the morning report on December 23.

Ukrainian soldiers repelled enemy attacks near 19 towns and villages and struck 16 Russian deployment areas.

On December 22, the units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled Russian attacks near the settlements of Vysoke, Sumy region, Khatne, Kharkiv region, 7 settlements of the Luhansk region and 10 settlements of the Donetsk region, including Bakhmut.

In turn, the aviation of the Defense Forces launched 8 strikes on Russian concentrations of personnel, weapons and military equipment, destroying 3 air defence systems and 1 UAV control center.

Units of Ukrainian missile troops and artillery hit 3 Russian control points, 3 ammunition warehouses and 8 manpower concentrations.

Russia launched 6 missile strikes and 6 airstrikes against Ukraine over the last day

Over the past day, Russia launched 6 missiles and 6 airstrikes, in particular, on civilian objects in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions. 

The enemy also launched more than 70 MLRS attacks.

Belarus conducts an inspection of its military personnel 

Belarusian military commissariats are carrying out inspections of the military staff.. 

Particular attention is paid to senior officers who are in the reserve.

Situation by directions:

On the border with Belarus, the situation is without significant changes, and there are no signs of the formation of Russian offensive groups near the northern Ukrainian border. 

Border with the Russian Federation. Russian troops launched MLRS attacks on Bleshnya, Chernihiv region, and 6 more settlements of the Sumy region. In the Kharkiv region, 8 settlements came under tank, mortar and artillery fire.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops shelled 4 settlements of the Kharkiv region and 2 of the Luhansk region.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces shelled 4 settlements of the Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops fired from tanks and artillery of various types at 9 settlements of the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian soldiers fired at approximately 7 settlements of the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian troops shelled 5 settlements of the Donetsk region.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region, and Kherson came under rocket and cannon artillery fire.
