
Russian army targets Kherson, its outskirts, injuring civilians, damaging critical infrastructure
Since the morning of Sunday, January 12, Russian forces have been shelling Kherson and its outskirts. At least three people have been injured in the attacks. Power and heating networks were damaged in the Dniprovskyi district
The Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that in the morning, Russian troops attacked Antonivka with a drone. A 47-year-old woman was injured, suffering shrapnel wounds to her forearm, legs, and lower back. She was hospitalized, and her condition is considered moderate.
Around 09:00, another drone attack in Kherson injured a 57-year-old woman with an explosive wound and shrapnel to her leg.
Later, a 62-year-old man was hospitalized after another drone attack, suffering a mine blast injury and a shoulder wound.
The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Roman Mrochkо, reported that as a result of the Russian shelling of the Dniprovskyi district in Kherson, the power grid was damaged.
"The area is partially without electricity – about 22,900 meter points are without power. Emergency restoration works are already underway," Mrochkо stated.
Later, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that the heat supply networks in the Dniprovskyi district of the city were also damaged due to the Russian attack. Around 20 apartment buildings are left without heating.
"Despite the danger, our specialists are working to eliminate the consequences of Russian terror," Mrochkо added.
