Ukraine's Usyk awarded best boxer of year by The Ring
Ukrainian boxer, world heavyweight champion in WBA, WBO, WBC, and IBO, Oleksandr Usyk, has been named the best boxer of 2024 by the specialized boxing publication The Ring

The announcement came during an awards ceremony held on January 11 at the Old Royal Naval College in London. It was noted that Usyk's two victories over Tyson Fury have firmly established him in the minds of many boxing historians and enthusiasts as a prominent figure of his generation.
Usyk's first victory over Fury made him the first heavyweight champion to collect all four championship belts. His top ranking in The Ring's list of the world's top 10 boxers was secured with his second victory over the British boxer.
