Russian authorities fear their own people more than armed criminals - Mark Feigin

A member of the Russian opposition in exile, a former member of the State Duma and a well-known video blogger, Mark Feigin believes that recruiting criminals into the Russian army is an alternative to mobilization and the declaration of war, thus it represents the Russian authorities trying to avoid collapse

He expressed this opinion on Espreso.

Mark Feigin commented on the attempts of the Russian authorities to collect soldiers from the prisons of the Russian Federation.

"I think the cost of this is zero, because the people who were sitting are not people of military specialties and do not know how to fight, so they will die in packs, although for this they are needed so that the rest walk over their corpses. From this point of view, I  I believe that in this way the Russian authorities have already rushed to the last resort, because before, if they did this, it was hidden and not very loud," said the oppositionist.

Mark Fagin also added that in no country in the world are criminals who have killed other people and are convicted under the law given weapons, because they have delinquent (anti-social, threatening to society, illegal, - ed.) consciousness and intentions.

"In addition, criminals will nominate authorities from among themselves who will lead, this is also objective. In this environment, wearing a uniform and epaulettes at all is considered a bad thing, you are already caught, which is against all the laws of thieves. But still, this process  is happening and it cannot be denied that they are gathering a certain number of people, hundreds or thousands, but they are definitely gathering someone," Feigin explained.

Mark Fagin noted that, in any case, if the government has already gone to such a set of potential combatants, then this speaks of the helplessness and hopelessness of its position.

"And this is all as an alternative to mobilizing and declaring war, because the Russian government is afraid of its own people even more than criminals. If you give weapons to all the poor and disadvantaged Russians, they will definitely return them to the wrong place. Therefore, in fact, the government is trying to avoid collapse,  delaying it in various ways, giving weapons to a certain number of people whom it can somehow control. And the uncontrolled number, if they announce mobilization and collect 50 thousand people, then they will not be able to control them, and no one will be able to. And this is even worse than criminals. This is a great indicator," the oppositionist concluded.
