Russia loses 1,280 soldiers, 12 tanks, 2 air defense systems in one day of war in Ukraine

Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff reported the information.

Russia's total combat losses from February 24, 2022, to February 21, 2025, are approximately:

• personnel - about 864,860 (+1,280),
• tanks - 10,146 (+12),
• armored fighting vehicles - 21,130 (+18),
• artillery systems - 23,462 (+52),
• MLRS - 1,295 (+4),
• air defense systems - 1,080 (+2),
• aircraft - 370 (+0),
• helicopters - 331 (+0),
• UAVs of operational and tactical level - 26,156 (+135),
• cruise missiles - 3,064 (+0),
• ships/boats - 28 (+0),
• submarines - 1 (+0),
• vehicles and fuel tanks - 38,104 (+143),
• special equipment - 3,753 (+1).

The data is being updated.

• Russia does not reckon with human resources, so the number of losses of Russian troops on the battlefield is not decisive for Ukraine's victory, said former Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief and now Ukraine's Ambassador to the UK Valeriy Zaluzhnyi.
