Ukraine reports 121 clashes at frontline on Feb. 20, repels 34 attacks in Pokrovsk sector

Over the past day, February 20, 121 combat clashes were recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front. In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 34 Russian attacks

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff stated this in its report as of 08:00 a.m.

"Russian forces carried out three missile strikes and 93 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using 17 missiles and dropping 151 guided bombs. In addition, the Russians laucnhed over 5,500 artillery attacks, including 129 times from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,650 kamikaze drones," the General Staff reported.

The General Staff added that yesterday the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck eight Russian manpower and weapons concentrations, a command post, two EW stations, and ten Russian artillery systems.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled three Russian attacks near Vovchansk and Zapadne.

In the Kupiansk sector, seven combat clashes took place near Zahryzove and Petropavlivka.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces stopped five Russian attacks. Russian troops mainly focused on the settlements of Yampolivka and Kolodiazi.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled two Russian attacks near Bilohorivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian troops stopped four Russian attempts to advance near Vasyukivka and Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces attempted to advance ten times near Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 34 attacks. Russian forces were most active near Promin, Pokrovsk, Pishchane, Lysivka, Vodiane Druhe, Serhiivka, Nadiivka, Bohdanivka, Sribne, Andriivka, and Ulakly.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainiann Defense Forces are holding back the Russian army. In the areas of Kostiantynopil, Rozdolne, Novoocheretuvate, and Pryvilne, Russian troops attempted to break through Ukrainian defense lines 12 times but were repelled.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces attempted to advance three times near Novosilka and Novopil.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian troops carried out five attacks on Ukrainian positions near Novoandriivka and Stepove.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russian forces did not conduct any offensive actions.

In the Kursk region, Ukraine's Defense Forces continue operations. Russian forces launched 29 attacks on Ukrainian positions, conducted 19 airstrikes, dropped 25 guided bombs, and fired 479 times at Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including nine attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.

  • Over the last day, Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated 12 Russian tanks, 52 artillery systems, and 1,280 servicemen.
