Kubilius stated that the EU’s position remains “very clear,” emphasizing the bloc's commitment to achieving “peace through strength.”
The European Commissioner for defence suggested that the EU might present a new aid package for Ukraine on Monday, saying, “We are discussing … all the possibilities that would allow us, in a very urgent way, to send a very strong message to Ukrainians and to the world that we are standing together with Ukraine.”
“I hope that a good occasion for such a message will be … the third anniversary of the war, which comes next Monday,” he added.
While acknowledging there are “gossip” and rumors about the package's size, he declined to speculate further.
