Russian airstrike on Zolochiv, Kharkiv region injures five

The Kharkiv Regional State Administration reported the information.

"Russian occupiers continue to terrorize the civilian population of the Kharkiv region," the administration emphasized.

Around 11:00 a.m., Russia launched an attack on the village of Zolochiv in the Bohodukhiv district.

A car caught fire after being struck by a KAB guided bomb, while three private houses, one apartment building, and several administrative buildings were damaged.

In total, four local residents were injured, with one person hospitalized. Specialized services are working at the scene.

Later, the number of victims of the Russian airstrike on the town of Zolochiv increased to five, the Kharkiv regional police reported.

"As a result of the Russian attack, five people sustained shrapnel wounds and an acute stress reaction - 55- and 63-year-old men, as well as women aged 51, 60 and 72. In addition, a car and two houses were destroyed, and four other households were damaged," the police said.

According to preliminary police reports, Russian trooops struck with three guided aerial bombs, hitting buildings and meadows in Zolochiv, as well as on the outskirts of Orishanka village in Zolochiv community.

Criminal proceedings were initiated over the war crime under Part 1 of Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

• On the morning of Friday, February 21, Russian troops fired a drone at a police car in the city of Kupiansk, Kharkiv region. Law enforcement officers were injured in the attack.
