Russian Ambassador to the US warns of consequences in case of new strikes on "lands that became part of Russia"
Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov accused Washington of escalating the situation by supplying Ukraine with missiles of 150-km range
Antonov wrote about this on his Telegram.
According to him, "Washington sees no boundaries in its desire to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia."
"The transfer of more and more powerful weapons is a deliberate escalation of the conflict by the US. The administration has put almost everything on the "Ukrainian card": its own international credibility, American taxpayers' money, and the lives of Ukrainian soldiers. At this rate, the United States can go to absolute madness, such as providing the republic with fighter jets," Antonov wrote.
He also accused the United States of encouraging Ukraine to shell Russian lands and said that Moscow considers the occupied territories to be such.
"Washington is de facto inciting its proteges to attack Russian regions. And it makes no difference to us when we talk about a possible "attack" on Zaporizhzhia or Bryansk regions, Crimea or Smolensk. All the lands that became part of Russia are our homeland, which we will defend with all our might," Antonov assured.
