Defense Express suggests what military aid Ukraine expects from U.S. under 'victory plan'
Defense Express military expert Ivan Kyrychevskyi has suggested what kind of military assistance Ukraine expects from the United States under the 'victory plan'
He told about this on Espreso TV.
‘I understand that the expectation is that the United States of America will open a kind of lend-lease. That is, when we are given the maximum number of all possible samples of armored vehicles, missile weapons, air defense, and finally, combat aircraft. After all, the request for the United States to give us its F-16s, and not just European countries, is still relevant,’ he said.
The expert noted that the list of weapons that Ukraine needs to effectively confront Russia and that the United States has is very long.
‘The list can be extended to anything. One of the Western publications said that we asked the Americans for C-17 aircraft for our air force, something like an analogue of Ruslan. That is, the number of things that can be asked of the Americans that would be relevant to our defense against the Russians is very large. And you can even put the THAAD missile defense system, whose battery costs $2 billion, on top of this iceberg. The only question is whether we will be able to find the right arguments for the current U.S. military and political leadership to transfer at least some of these weapons,’ Ivan Kyrychevskyi believes.
- On September 20, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine's 'victory plan' in the war against Russia can only be implemented through quick decisions by partners, which they must make between October and December.
