Russia will win only if Ukrainians give it this victory

Some say that Ukraine is losing this war. This is a thought that fits perfectly into the brains of tired Ukrainians, who sometimes even seem to revel in this collective depression

The summer heat is now melting not only asphalt, but also brains. Brains that Russia wants to get into at all costs. Sowing despondency and despair.

But if Ukraine loses, it would mean that Russia wins. And Russia itself prefers to sell this idea both domestically and to the world.

But what would be a victory for Russia? Maybe we have forgotten, but Russia wanted to take control of the whole of Ukraine. Russia wanted to destroy the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine and install its puppets in Kyiv. This would have been a victory for Russia. The restoration of the empire with little effort, a quick special operation for 2-3 weeks. Not with a big war, but with a quick leap.

Was Russia able to do it? No.

Is Russia getting closer to this goal? No. And even Ukrainians, who are often depressed, do not believe this. Otherwise, the cost of real estate in Kyiv would be completely different. Moscow and others realize that they are no longer able to destroy Ukraine's independence. And therefore they are not able to win.

Russia, exerting all its imperial power, can bite off some territory. But Russia already has a large territory. An additional few hundred square kilometers will be completely invisible on it, and certainly cannot be a victory. And they cannot be the goal. The goal is unattainable for Russia, and they are well aware of this. From Russia's point of view, they are spending too many resources, completely straining their economy, cutting all budget expenditures not related to the army, for an achievement that will be completely invisible on the map. It's not comparable to Russia's ambitions and goals stated two years ago. What kind of victory is this? What kind of success is this?

Russia is capable of inflicting pain on us. And it can take some kind of sadistic pleasure in doing so. In this way, they are trying to block out for themselves the pain and disappointment that the goal they have declared and spent so many resources on is unattainable.

The price Russia has paid and will continue to pay for many years to come is too high. And they know it. Even though they are trying to sell a completely different idea.

At the same time, it behaves like a juvenile hooligan who is waiting at home for his drunken father, who can beat him up for no reason, humiliate him, or even do something even worse, and who comes to school and takes sandwiches from first-graders.

Can Russia still win? Only if we give Russia this victory ourselves. And Russia itself is not capable of winning.
