Russia uses TOS-1A flamethrower system, guided bombs on Ukrainian-liberated plant in Vovchansk
Russia is trying to use a range of weapons to attack the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant, which was completely liberated by Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate on September 24
Colonel Vitaliy Sarantsev, spokesperson for the Kharkiv troops grouping, said this during a telethon.
He noted that the situation in the Kharkiv sector remains difficult, the Russian Federation continues its assault operations, and the hottest spot is in Vovchansk.
According to him, the Vovchansk aggregate plant is the main target of the occupiers after its liberation and clearing by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
"The enemy does not have any tactical or strategic goal. But at the same time, it was a very powerful image blow for them - the loss of this facility," Sarantsev said.
The spokesman stressed that the Russian forces are now trying to use ‘the maximum range of their weapons’ against the plant.
"They are using the TOS-1A heavy flamethrower system and dropping guided aerial bombs. That is, it is acting according to its standard practice - to destroy what it did not get," he stressed.
- On September 24, units of the Main Intelligence Directorate completely liberated the territory of the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant and eliminated Russians in all the buildings of the enterprise.
- On September 27, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine stated that the liberation of the Vovchansk Aggregate Plant narrows the enemy's control zone and allows for the creation of a springboard for the development of the offensive and the final liberation of Vovchansk.
