Russia to continue its combined aerial strikes against Ukraine - Air Force
Invading Russian army is capable of continuing to conduct combined missile and drone strikes against Ukraine
Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Illia Yievlash said this during the telethon.
"We see that this is a serious attack with a fairly extensive use of numerous types of missiles. Of course, Russia is analyzing the use of missiles, trying to collect information, including from its intelligence, from open sources, about what objects they managed to hit," Yievlash said.
According to him, the Russian army is targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure, continuing to destroy it and trying to hit various facilities.
"We have to be prepared for the fact that Russia may continue such attacks. We have seen a slight decrease in the number of Shaheds lately. However, last night, the enemy used more than two dozen of their attack UAVs. Therefore, in this regard, we must be ready to repel all possible variants of air attack," said Yievlash.
On Wednesday night, May 8, Russian forces launched a coordinated assault on Ukraine using missiles and attack UAVs. Air defense forces successfully neutralized 59 out of 76 enemy air targets.
