Ukrainian media outlets RBC-Ukraine, Ukrainska Pravda, and Suspilne reported this, citing their sources in the special service.

It is noted that the drones of the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) together with the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted a drone strike on the Kushchyovskaya airfield. The airfield housed dozens of different aircraft attacking Ukrainian positions at the front. In particular, enemy Su-34, Su-25, Su-27, MiG-29.

In addition, the Slavyansk oil refinery was also attacked, after which it suspended its operations.

This is the second attack by SBU drones on the Kushchyovskaya military airfield and the Slavyansk refinery in the last three weeks. Several planes were hit at the airfield, and the distillation and atmospheric columns at the refinery were hit.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's Defense Intelligence Agency also conducted a special operation that night, attacking the Vyborg fuel depot in Russia's Leningrad region.

According to sources in the intelligence service, three explosive devices were used to hit vertical fuel tanks at the facility, hromadske and RBC-Ukraine reported.

Thus, the operation destroyed three fuel tanks.

"The decarbonization of Putin's dictatorship will continue, consistently and methodically, until Russia uses the oil and gas industry for military purposes or gets out of Ukraine. The price of Russian aggression for the Kremlin will keep rising and is already affecting their ability to supply fuel even to the domestic market. To be continued," the source in the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported.

Russia claims attack involved over 60 drones and 9 ATACMS

On the night of May 19, drones and missiles attacked several Russian regions. The Russian Ministry of Defense claims the attack involved over 60 drones and 9 ATACMS.

Officials in Krasnodar reported that 10 drones were destroyed in the region.

ASTRA, a Russian publication, reported that around 04:00, Vyborg residents in the Leningrad region heard a powerful explosion, followed by a fire.

Leningrad Governor Aleksandr Drozdenko denied a UAV attack on the Vyborg oil depot, attributing the fire to pyrotechnics.

Explosions were also heard in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar Territory, where smoke was seen rising near the refinery.

The regional operational headquarters reported drone attacks in Slavyansk and Kushchevsky districts. In Kushchevsky district, a UAV caused a local fire, reportedly not affecting populated areas.

In Slavyansk-on-Kuban, a drone hit the oil refinery. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or damage.

Drones also targeted a military airfield in Kushchevsky district, though this was not confirmed by the operational headquarters, which mentioned only a "local fire."

Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported a drone hitting the Sergius of Radonezh temple in Maloye Gorodishche, injuring two people in Petrovka.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed the destruction of 9 ATACMS missiles and one UAV over Crimea, three UAVs over Belgorod, and 57 drones over Krasnodar, intercepted by air defense.

  • On May 18, several explosions occurred in Kharkiv, targeting the residential sector and injuring at least five people, including children.
