Ukrainian Navy destroys Russian minesweeper "Kovrovets"
On Sunday, May 19, the Ukrainian Navy reported the destruction of the Russian naval minesweeper Kovrovets.

The Navy Command informs.
"Last night, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed the Russian Black Sea Fleet's 266-M Kovrovets project minesweeper. The Navy and its comrades-in-arms continue to bring us closer to victory," the statement reads.
The Kovrovets is a Russian naval trawler designed to conduct trawling for ships and vessels, survey and control trawling, lay fairways in minefields, and participate in mine laying in the far zone from its bases. It is deployed to the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. It became part of the fleet in 1974.
