"Shoigu tried to save his job": expert Prytula explains Russians' haste in Kharkiv region offensive
Military expert Mykhailo Prytula believes that Shoigu tried to retain his post as Russia's Defense Minister by launching an offensive in Kharkiv region with a completely unprepared group of troops.
He expressed this opinion on the Espreso TV channel
"The Russians launched an offensive in the Kharkiv region without properly preparing for it. This haste is because Shoigu was in a great hurry to launch this offensive to keep his position. He needed to show some results. That is why he launched this offensive. In the end, this offensive was overwhelmed and a large number of occupants were killed. The Russians had no forces to achieve a real result at all," Prytula explained.
The expert emphasized that the Russians launched an offensive in Kharkiv region with completely unprepared troops.
"The Russians prepared more than 30 thousand troops for the offensive in Kharkiv region. Such a number of personnel without the support of armored vehicles is simply not enough for a powerful breakthrough. Obviously, the decision to launch this offensive was more political, precisely to ensure that Shoigu remains in the post of Russian Defense Minister," he added.
