It is noted that local residents recorded at least 33 drones and more than 35 explosions in Novorossiysk. After that, the port lost power.
Later, explosions were heard in Tuapse, Krasnodar region. An oil refinery was allegedly attacked there.
According to the Krasnodar region's operational headquarters, a fire broke out on the refinery's territory as a result of the UAV crash, and special services began extinguishing it. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
At the same time, Reuters, citing its own sources, reports that the Tuapse refinery had to be shut down. The drones hit the liquefied petroleum gas production unit, while the oil distillation unit remained intact. It is stated that the technical side of the plant will be able to resume operations "relatively soon".
The governor of the Krasnodar region, Veniamin Kondratyev, said that Russian air defense had allegedly "suppressed" 10 drones: "As a result of the fall of the devices, local fires occurred, which are now being eliminated. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties."
In the morning, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the downing of 44 drones over the region.
