Russia sends professional special forces to assault in Lyman sector - Ukraine's 60th Brigade
Commander with the 60th Brigade's 97th Battalion says Russia is forced to use trained special forces units for assaults
He said this on Espreso TV.
"In the Lyman sector, the Russian army is stepping up pressure, increasing the number of assault groups in certain areas of the front. However, our fighters do not give them a single chance to break through. Russia cannot get closer than 4 kilometers to the contact line with their equipment," noted the commander.
According to the commander of the 97th Battalion, the Russians have a significant arsenal of FPV drones and long-range 152-mm artillery, but their accuracy is inferior to Ukrainian. So we cannot say that the enemy has an advantage in this aspect.
"Recently, there has been a tendency for more experienced soldiers of the Russian army to take part in assaults. Since the reserves, consisting of young and inexperienced soldiers, have already been exhausted, we have destroyed them. New reinforcements have not yet arrived, so the enemy is forced to use trained and well-equipped special forces units for assaults. However, this does not bring the result the enemy expects," the commander emphasized.
- Over the last day, September 4, the Russian forces lost 1,200 soldiers and dozens of pieces of their equipment at the front.
