90 clashes occur on Russian-Ukrainian front on Feb. 21 - General Staff

Over the past day, February 21, 90 battles took place on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The Russian forces were most active in the Pokrovsk direction

Russia's attacks on Ukraine

According to the updated information, yesterday the Russian aggressor launched one missile attack on Ukrainian positions and populated areas using two missiles, as well as 72 air strikes, dropping 92 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out more than 5,000 attacks, including 130 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 3,050 'kamikaze' drones to attack.

2 settlements in Kharkiv region; 8 settlements in Donetsk region; 1 settlement in Zaporizhzhia region were hit by air strikes.

Ukrainian Defense Forces' strikes at Russian positions

Over the past day, the missile troops and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit 7 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment and three enemy artillery pieces.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv direction, the Russian forces twice tried to break through the Ukrainian defenses near Vovchansk.

In the Kupyansk direction, 5 attacks took place yesterday. Ukrainian defenders repelled the Russian assault near Zahryzove.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian troops attacked 7 times. They tried to break into Ukrainian defense near the settlements of Kopanky, Novoliubivka, Terny, Yampolivka and Kolodiazi.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the invaders attacked 3 times near the village of Vasiukivka.

In the Toretsk direction, the Russian troops carried out 13 attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Krymske, Shcherbynivka and Dyliivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction the Ukrainian troops stopped 29 enemy attacks towards Vodiane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Svyrydonivka, Promin, Pishchane, Serhiivka, Andriivka, Ulakly, Udachne, Nadiivka and Molodetske.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Russian invaders made five attacks in the direction of Kostiantynopil and Burlatske yesterday.

In the Orikhiv direction, the occupation forces stormed the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 3 times near Shcherbaki and Piatykhatky.

In the Siversk, Huliaipole and Prydniprovskyi directions, the Russian troops did not conduct any active operations yesterday.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.

In the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Defense Forces are continuing their operation. Yesterday, the Russian troops carried out 31 air strikes, dropping 43 guided bombs, and fired 437 times, three of them from multiple rocket launchers. Ukrainian defenders fought off 15 invaders' assault attacks.

  • Since the beginning of the day on February 20, 59 battles have been recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front, with the most intense fighting occurring on the Pokrovsk and Kursk directions.
