Air defense operation in Kyiv

At around 12:30 a.m., Vitali Klitschko reported air defense operations in different parts of Kyiv. The wreckage of a UAV fell in the Solomianskyi district of the capital. Emergency services were sent to the scene.

Later, Klitschko informed that a fire broke out in the Solomianskyi district as a result of the UAV wreckage, causing damage to private buildings. Rescuers are working at the scene.

The Kyiv City Military Administration said that the fire was extinguished at about 1am in an area of 3 square meters. There was no information about victims.

They added that the blast wave damaged the windows in the building opposite.

Man killed in Kyiv region

Mykola Kalashnyk, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, said.

"As a result of a Russian UAV attack in Boryspil district, a 60-year-old man was killed at a railway crossing. He died before medics arrived," the statement said.

The head of the Regional Military Administration also informed about a fire in a warehouse. As of 12:20 a.m., firefighting is ongoing. In addition, windows were damaged in a residential building and an educational institution.

Ukrzaliznytsia reported that the deceased man was a crossing guard in the Boryspil district. He died at his workplace.

As of 7 a.m., the State Emergency Service reported that a 62-year-old man died as a result of Russian aggression and a fire broke out in a warehouse. A private residential building, a kindergarten, an educational institution, a shop and 6 cars were also damaged.

Rescuers promptly extinguished the fire at 1:00 a.m. The State Emergency Service involved 68 personnel and 15 vehicles.
